# Dekka > Dekka is sovereign compute, data and AI infrastructure for Africa, starting in Ghana. Run applications, databases and AI where you can see who controls them, with personal data protected when anything has to leave. Dekka is in a pilot. Managed application hosting, PostgreSQL, Redis and object storage are being tested with a small group of teams in Ghana, on a hosting provider that is pending independent verification. The AI Gateway and virtual servers are in development for pilot teams, and GPU instances have a waitlist because no GPU capacity has been procured yet. Private local models for the AI Gateway are coming soon. ## Start - [Getting started](https://docs.dekka.cloud/getting-started.md): Sign in, create a project, deploy a service from GitHub and connect it to PostgreSQL. - [Projects and environments](https://docs.dekka.cloud/projects.md): How projects, regions and environments organise your services, and how to create, fork, switch and delete environments. - [Staged changes](https://docs.dekka.cloud/staged-changes.md): Collect settings changes in an environment and deploy them together, so related edits land at the same time. ## Services - [Deploying from GitHub](https://docs.dekka.cloud/deploying-from-github.md): Connect the Dekka GitHub App, choose a repository and branch, and deploy on every push. - [Deploying a Docker image](https://docs.dekka.cloud/docker-images.md): Run a prebuilt image from Docker Hub, GitHub Container Registry or any other registry, including private images. - [Web services, workers and cron jobs](https://docs.dekka.cloud/service-types.md): Choose how a service runs, as a web service on a port, a worker in the background, or a cron job on a UTC schedule. - [Build and deploy settings](https://docs.dekka.cloud/build-configuration.md): Every setting that controls how a service is built, started, checked, restarted and sized. - [Config as code](https://docs.dekka.cloud/config-as-code.md): Keep a service's settings in dekka.toml or dekka.json next to its code, and describe a whole environment in a dekka.yaml blueprint. - [Variables](https://docs.dekka.cloud/environment-variables.md): Set service and shared variables, reference one service's values from another, keep secrets sealed, and read the variables Dekka provides. - [Deployments](https://docs.dekka.cloud/deployments.md): Follow a deployment through its states, redeploy, roll back, cancel or remove one, and find out when one fails. - [Volumes](https://docs.dekka.cloud/volumes.md): Attach a disk to a service so files survive deploys and restarts, and grow it when it fills up. ## Data - [Connections](https://docs.dekka.cloud/connections.md): Connect a service to PostgreSQL, Redis or a bucket, and the variables each connection sets. - [PostgreSQL](https://docs.dekka.cloud/postgresql.md): Create a PostgreSQL database, connect services to it, browse and query it, and reach it from your own machine. - [Redis](https://docs.dekka.cloud/redis.md): Create a Redis database for caching, queues and sessions, and choose its memory, eviction policy and persistence. - [Object storage](https://docs.dekka.cloud/object-storage.md): Create a private S3-compatible bucket for uploads and files, and use it from a service with the AWS SDK. - [Queues](https://docs.dekka.cloud/queues.md): Create a managed message queue for workers and scheduled jobs, choose how long it hides and keeps messages, and connect services to it. - [Backups](https://docs.dekka.cloud/backups.md): How Dekka backs up PostgreSQL databases and volumes, where the backups are kept, and how to restore one. ## AI - [AI Gateway](https://docs.dekka.cloud/ai-gateway.md): Call OpenAI and Anthropic models through one OpenAI-compatible endpoint, stream replies, and see which model answered. - [AI keys](https://docs.dekka.cloud/ai-keys.md): Use your own OpenAI and Anthropic keys, create gateway keys for your code, choose a project per request, and connect a service to the AI Gateway on the canvas. - [Routing rules](https://docs.dekka.cloud/ai-routing.md): Choose which providers and models a project may use, the order to fall back in and a monthly spend cap, and see the order the gateway checks each request in. - [Models and usage](https://docs.dekka.cloud/ai-models.md): See which models the AI Gateway offers and their list prices, what Not available means, and follow each request and your spend over time. ## Servers - [Virtual servers](https://docs.dekka.cloud/virtual-servers.md): Create a Linux server with root access over SSH, start, stop, resize, rebuild and delete it, and see how it's billed and how many you can have. - [SSH keys](https://docs.dekka.cloud/ssh-keys.md): Add the public keys Dekka installs on new virtual servers, check their fingerprints, and fix a key Dekka refuses. - [GPU instances](https://docs.dekka.cloud/gpu-instances.md): See the GPU instances Dekka plans to offer, join the waitlist, and request a private inference endpoint you can call through the AI Gateway. ## Networking - [Public addresses and custom domains](https://docs.dekka.cloud/domains.md): The HTTPS address every web service gets on apps.dekka.cloud, and how to point your own domain at a service. - [Private networking](https://docs.dekka.cloud/private-networking.md): Reach other services in the same environment by name on dekka.internal, without going over the internet. - [TCP proxy](https://docs.dekka.cloud/tcp-proxy.md): Give a PostgreSQL or Redis database a public host and port so you can connect from your own machine. ## Observability - [Logs](https://docs.dekka.cloud/logs.md): Read a service's runtime output and HTTP request logs, search build, deploy and job output, and fetch logs from the API. - [Metrics](https://docs.dekka.cloud/metrics.md): Chart a service's CPU, memory, network, disk, request rate and response time over the last hour to the last seven days. - [Deploy webhooks](https://docs.dekka.cloud/webhooks.md): Get a signed HTTP request when a deploy starts, succeeds or fails or a service crashes, verify it, and handle retries, tests and redelivery. ## Account - [Signing in](https://docs.dekka.cloud/sign-in.md): Sign in to Dekka with an email link, GitHub, Google or a passkey, and manage your sign-in methods and sessions. - [Organisations and members](https://docs.dekka.cloud/organisations.md): What an organisation holds, the four member roles, inviting teammates, changing roles and removing members, and where to see your organisation's activity. - [API keys](https://docs.dekka.cloud/api-keys.md): Create an API key for scripts and CI, choose what it can do, and call the Dekka API with it. - [Project tokens](https://docs.dekka.cloud/project-tokens.md): Create a token that reaches only one project, and deploy from GitHub Actions or another CI system with it. - [Registry credentials](https://docs.dekka.cloud/registry-credentials.md): Store a username and token for a private container registry so Dekka can pull your private images. - [Plans, billing and usage](https://docs.dekka.cloud/billing.md): Change plans, pay with a card or mobile money through Paystack, understand metered usage and invoices, and set spending alerts and a spend limit. ## Trust - [Security](https://docs.dekka.cloud/security.md): How Dekka protects your account, your secrets and your workloads, and how to report a problem. - [Plans and limits](https://docs.dekka.cloud/limits.md): What each plan includes, how Dekka counts usage against it, and what happens when you reach a limit. ## Help - [Troubleshooting](https://docs.dekka.cloud/troubleshooting.md): Fixes for failed builds, deploys stuck on Starting, reference and DNS errors, plan and spend limits, invitations and the other errors people hit most. ## Company - [Where your data lives](https://dekka.cloud/data-location): what runs where, what leaves Ghana and what is still being verified - [Pricing](https://dekka.cloud/pricing): pilot pricing in Ghana cedis
